eCommerce Web Design
Venture Imports Wholesale + Retail Website Launch
Venture Imports came to us seeking a new website to represent their business online. Venture’s website serve as a retail and wholesale eCommerce platform, in addition to serving as a primary source for brand building.
In the design and development of the responsive WordPress site, we used Woocommerce for the eCommerce functionality and prioritized:
-Building a design that reflects Venture Import’s brand standards
-Building wholesale and retail eCommerce functionality
-Creating a user experience that helps people quickly connect with the content they’re seeking.
For this project it was a treat to work with Lauren Hengeveld on photography and design.
WHAT THEY HAD TO SAY
“Meredith worked tirelessly to develop a website with lots of customized options. Such a pleasure to work with, too!”
-Jennie Misner, President
As a direct to consumer eCommerce website, our web design and development strategy prioritized:
Simplicity: Our design was clear, clean, and simple—and made sure to keep the focus on the sale.
Storytelling: We aimed to build trust with prospective customers by spending time telling artisan stories and company values.
Navigation: It was important to get in the minds of the consumer to create a site that was easy to use, clear to navigate, and provided a straightforward cart experience.
High-quality imagery: Images increase conversions. In order to get people to buy products they had never seen or touched from the website, it was important to use high quality images to demonstrate the product they’re purchasing.
Wholesale wall with custom functionality: We created a clear login area for wholesale customers that included a custom quick order form to make bulk ordering faster and easier.
